JioTag Specifications, Features

Like Apple AirTag, JioTag is a Bluetooth tracker for devices and accessories. The device weighs 9.5 grams and measures 3.82 x 3.82 x 0.72cm. Users can simply connect the device to the JioThings app on their smartphone and attach the tag to their wallet, handbag, or any other personal item to keep track of them.

Jio is offering an extra battery and lanyard cable in the box. The lanyard makes it easier for users to attach the JioTag to their belongings. According to the website, the device is powered by a replaceable CR2032 battery, which offers a backup of a year. Moreover, the JioTag comes with a range of up to 20 meters indoors and up to 50 meters outdoors. It connects to the smartphone using Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity option.

While you can attach the JioTag to your belonging, users can also use the JioTag to locate their misplaced smartphones. Simply double-tap the JioTag to ring the phone, even in silent mode. JioTag will also warn users if they leave their wallets, keys, or other belongings behind, along with the accurate location where they left them.

What sets JioTag apart from Apple AirTag, despite the similar functionality, is the Jio Community Find feature. When users cannot find their belongings even at the last disconnection location, they can mark their JioTag as lost on the JioThings app, and Jio Community Find will search and report back the location of the lost JioTag.
