Xiaomi 14 Ultra: Brighter Lenses and Powerful Features on the Horizon
In the ever-evolving world of smartphones, Xiaomi is gearing up for yet another exciting addition to its lineup. The Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro, launched in China in October 2023, already turned heads with their HyperOS interface. Now, rumors are buzzing about the potential arrival of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, set to make its debut in March 2024.
Leaked images, surfacing online via GSMArena, showcase the alleged cover glass of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, providing a sneak peek into the smartphone’s camera enhancements. While maintaining a similar camera module design to its predecessor, the Ultra is expected to shine with brighter lenses. The Leica branding on the cover glass adds a touch of sophistication to the device.
The camera cut-outs, resembling those of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, have slightly larger lens holes, suggesting an upgrade in brightness. According to reports, the primary camera could feature an f/1.6 aperture, a notable improvement from its predecessor’s f/1.9 aperture.
The periscope telephoto camera is also in for an upgrade, boasting an f/2.5 aperture compared to the Xiaomi 13 Ultra’s f/3.0. Speculations from a reliable tipster hint at a Sony LYT-900 sensor for the primary camera, offering a variable aperture ranging from f/1.63 to f/2.5. An aspherical lens known as Vario-Summilux 1:1.63-2.5/12-120 is also rumored to be part of the package. Additionally, the leak mentions a 120mm periscope telephoto camera, adding versatility to the device’s photography capabilities.
In other reports, it’s suggested that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra could be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The device might flaunt a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 2K resolution and a silky smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Powering this beast could be a substantial 5,180mAh battery, featuring 90W wired charging support and 50W wireless charging capabilities. The possibility of a slightly curved display adds a stylish touch to the smartphone’s design.
While all eyes are on the potential launch of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, there’s also anticipation for the Xiaomi 14 series to make its way to India and other global markets during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024, scheduled between February 26 and February 29. Although no official announcements have been made, enthusiasts are eager to see Xiaomi’s latest offerings on a global stage.
